Zahra to Berri: Failure to Attend Wednesday's Meeting Has Nothing to do with Ain Rummaneh Incident - Date: Fri 09/10/2009 List all

Lebanese Forces member Antoine Zahra on Thursday conveyed a telephone message to Speaker Nabih Berri, telling him that failure by LF MPs to attend Wednesday's meeting "had nothing to do with the Ain el-Rummaneh incident."
The message was conveyed through Secretary-General of Parliament Adnan Daher.

Zahra told Daher that the Lebanese Forces does not believe the Ain el-Rummaneh mishap was politically motivated.

Immediately upon receiving the message, Berri praised the LF's interpretations and stressed that AMAL movement had nothing with the Ain el-Rummaneh mishap.

Berri said the assailants came from Borj al-Barajneh and not from Shiyah as had been reported
